We come to you and work with you right in your own home:

Suzan J Designs brings 25 years of interior design experience to your project. We discuss your project, your style, your tastes, and your budget to understand the scope of your project. Coming to your home assures that we see your home in the existing lighting of the room or rooms we plan on updating.

The design consultation:

We know every project presents its own unique set of circumstances. We discuss with you what you hope to achieve at the end of the project. We take the time necessary to help establish the scope of your project, the style you desire, colors you like (or don’t like!), and the investment you’d like to make in the project. Not sure about that? No worries, we help with creating a budget too.

Our design process:

Our first appointment, the initial consultation, will last one to two hours. We will tour your home to assess your lifestyle and design taste, what the project entails, the budget, and discuss what existing pieces you want to keep. If we mutually agree to move forward, we then take measurements, photos and notes before the appointment ends. We may set up a second appointment (sometimes a third, depending on the scope of the project) – what we call a working session – as part of the design process, prior to the final design presentation. From conceptualization to procurement to delivery, we work with you until we install each product and add the finishing touches. The team at Suzan J Designs has an ultimate goal – to create a space that genuinely moves you and your family, allowing you to feel perfectly at home, right where you belong.

The investment:

We discuss the investment you plan to make in your project. Determining a budget that accomplishes your overall project goals needs to happen before anything else, whether your project is one room or the entire home. We help with that through in-depth discussions of what the goals are for your home project.
